Dear Member,

The House Committee has the great pleasure of inviting you to a BONUS night of entertainment which is slightly different from the normal events that have been offered in the past.

The House Committee, in collaboration with our friend Paul Dobie, has managed to secure the attendance of a talented troupe of Solo artists who will each play approximately 20 minutes of their music for your entertainment and enjoyment. 

Once all the performers have presented their own 20-minute slot: they will all collaborate for a big finale to finish off an evening of fine music and quality entertainment.

The following list of entertainers would normally have expected to be fully booked all season performing at high-end weddings and on Cruise Ships, but due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, they have been stranded on dry land, and have performed regularly together at selected venues around the North West of England in order to retain and hone their musical skills.

Please book a table through the office via the application forms. These can be filled out and either posted to the club or scanned and emailed to secretary@royalbirkdale.com

Our entertainers for the evening are:

Ollie Mulkeen - Trumpet / Vocals.

Paul Dobie - Vocals / Guitars (Paul starred at our second Summer Party)

Daniel Sings - Sax / Vocals / Guitars (Daniel starred at our Captains Prize Party)

Joe and Adam Morgan - Piano / Guitars / Vocals

Tony Benedict - Swing Vocal (Tony sang downstairs at our first Summer Party)

Will Proctor - West End Singer (Jersey Boys / Les Miserables)

Finale:  Paul Dobie and Friends:  featuring Andy Flynn (percussion/vocals) and Heath Lavery (furious fiddle).

It is unfortunate that this event could not have been organised for a Prime Time evening: but it is a bonus to have the opportunity for Members to attend with Guests to enjoy an evening of entertainment downstairs at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in the run-up to the Festive Period.

Steven Lamb, our chef has put together the following combinations of food in two courses for £20 per head to include a selected complimentary drink on arrival.

Main Course

Individual Beef Cottage Pie with a Cheese Glaze, or

Seared Fillet of Sea Bass finished with a warm salad of Olives and New Potatoes, or

Vegetarian Cottage Pie of Puy Lentil, Spinach and Butternut

All Served with Roast Root Vegetables and Greens

Dessert

Autumn Fruits Pavlova or

Lancashire Cheese, Chutney, House Biscuits and Grapes
