CHARITY GOLF DAYS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS


DEFINITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to the booking of a golf day by the Organiser at the Club. The ‘Club’ means The Royal Birkdale Golf Club. The ‘Organiser’ means the individual or organisation with whom the Club agrees to provide a booking at the Club. The completion and return of the 2nd copy of this agreement will signify both confirmations of booking and acceptance of the terms and conditions. 


CONFIRMATION – BY THE ORGANISER

All bookings will be held on a 30-day option until the Agreement is signed and received by the Club. The Club reserves the right to release the booking if the Agreement is not returned within the 30-day period, or if the deposits are not paid by the due dates.


DEPOSITS

The Club requires two deposits, The first deposit which is non-refundable is due three calendar months before the event. The final payment represents the balance of the green fees and is due one calendar month before the event.


CONFIRMATION OF NUMBERS

The final numbers for catering must be confirmed by the Organiser at least 48 hours in advance of your event. This will be the minimum you are charged on your final invoice. 


ACCOUNT CHARGES

We will agree in advance on any services and supplies you would like to charge to your main account, including those that you are happy for your individual guests to charge. These will be included in your final invoice.


ALTERATIONS

Any alteration to the number of golfers must be confirmed in writing to the Club. Any reduction in the number of golfers will result in a corresponding loss of the non-refundable deposits which cannot be offset against the final invoice.


CANCELLATIONS

The Organiser must inform the Club in writing if they wish to cancel the event. In the event of cancellation, the Club will retain the non-refundable deposit.


PAYMENT TERMS

The following payments shall be made by the Organiser to the Club at the times indicated. An initial non-refundable deposit, payable three calendar months in advance of the event. A second deposit is payable one calendar month in advance of the event. The Organiser will be invoiced after the event for the balance of all costs. Payment should be made within 30 days. The Club reserves the right to charge the Organiser interest at 2% over the Bank of England Base Rate if payment is not received within the 30 day period.
